Description and Responsibilities
A Way to be Dead is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game released on Steam in 2021. As the Lead Developer and Designer, I designed the UI/UX to be simple, scary, and easy to use for all players:
Dual-Perspective HUD: I created different screen layouts for both survivors and the killer. The UI is clean and minimal so players can focus on the action without losing important information.
Simple Progression Menus: I designed a clear level-up system and character selection screen. Players can easily upgrade their characters and manage their skills between matches.
Bug-Free Multiplayer UI: I built a reliable and easy-to-understand lobby system. I focused on making the menus work perfectly for multiplayer matchmaking and party management.
Horror-Themed Design: I created a visual style (colors, fonts, and icons) that matches the dark atmosphere of the game while keeping everything easy to read.
