Maritime Training Simulations
Description and Responsibilities
Maritime Training Simulation is a high-performance VR simulation and serious game project developed between 2019 and 2024. Originating as "MetaSHIP" at Orka Informatics (approved by UK maritime authorities), I continued its advanced development at Crania to deliver photorealistic accident analysis and training scenarios.
Advanced Maritime Physics: Implemented realistic hydrodynamics, buoyancy logic, and wave interaction systems to ensure accurate physical behavior for accident analysis.
MetaHuman & Cinematics: Specialized in MetaHuman integration and LiveLink animation workflows. Used real-time facial capture to create expressive characters for high-quality cinematic scenes and presentations.
Technical Tools: Use internal tools that I developed such as a Weather Manager Tool to simulate variable sea states.
UI/UX & Interaction: Designed simulation interfaces and dashboard systems. Developed VR interaction logic for machinery operation and bridge navigation tasks.
Cross-Platform Development & Integration: Developed gameplay mechanics for both VR hardware and PC platforms. Handled real-time data integration and several API integrations.
World Building & Visuals: Created realistic marine environments and detailed vessel interiors. Constructed massive scenes using Nanite and specialized lighting techniques. Personally handled post-processing and cinematic scene creation.
Leadership & Management: Led a multidisciplinary team of artists and developers while actively contributing to core development and technical implementation.
